
Health Partners Family Practice is a new family practice developed to give the patient a relationship with their doctor to create a strong and healthy life style. Dr. Christman, one of our family physicians, has dedicated his time in the military to serving and protecting others. As an honorable veteran, he devotes his time, as a family physician, to improve the health and wellness of those around us. Our new providers and clinical staff work to create a heartwarming relationship by understanding each patient’s needs.
Dr. Christman was born and raised in Indiana, where he graduated from Whitko High School in 1989. He then attended Manchester College where he achieved his Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry. Dr. Christman continued on at the University of Health Sciences-College of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated in 2001. He was a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi National Honor Society and the class Senate.
Dr. Christman started a family medicine internship at Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, TX, from 2001-2002. Dr. Christman then moved on to the University of Louisville, Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine from 2005-2007. He was the chief resident from 2006-2007 and received resident of the year in 2007. In 2007, he became board certified in Family Medicine, with 5 years practice experience outside of the military and 11 years total experience.
Not only has Dr. Christman dedicated his life to helping people, but he has devoted his time and service to our country by giving the armed forces eleven years of service. Dr. Christman was active duty in the Army, from 2001-2005. During this period, he was stationed at Fort Hood, TX 2001-2002 and Fort Knox, KY 2002-2005. Dr. Christman was deployed to Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004, where he served as a General Medical Officer/Flight Surgeon. From there, he was stationed to the Air National Guard in Louisville, KY from 2005-2009. Dr. Christman is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the Fort Wayne Air National Guard.
Other than serving his community, Dr. Christman enjoys hobbies, such as: golfing, fishing, running, biking, and reading.
